Lozells, Downlow
A street art trail developed around Georges
Park and Lozells Road. The Downlow
project included aims of increasing exercise
and ‘re-animating’ the community. Artist
Bunny Bread from Create Not Destroy,
worked for a year to produce ten large
street art installations which tell a range of
local stories.
Southside
Close to the Chinese and Gay quarters a
second city centre area of street art has
developed. There is a sweep of commissioned
street art on the boarded up 1960s curve of
Smallbrook Queensway. There are also more
opportunistic works on walls of car parks and
sites awaiting redevelopment.
