Description The only full size inversion principle sculpture attributed to John Pickering, which was completed after his death. John trained at the Bilston school of Art and then the Birmingham School of Art. He worked as a stone carver on St Philip’s Cathedral and then in Warwick. John became interested in the inversion principle and worked from the 1970s until his death on producing sculptural models using these mathematical transformations.
